Meet our Executive Director
Shacole A. Pearman is a speaker, mentor, and youth development leader dedicated to empowering girls to find their voice and walk confidently in who they are. Originally from San Diego, California, she moved to Atlanta to attend Clark Atlanta University, where she earned her degree in Speech Communications.
With a passion for public speaking that began at an early age, Shacole has spent years hosting events, leading trainings, and speaking at conferences on topics such as mentoring, team building, and program development. She also brings over a decade of experience in Parks and Recreation, where she completed leadership training and worked closely with youth and families in the community.
Shacole’s true passion lies in mentoring young girls. For over 15 years, she has taught public speaking, confidence-building, and life skills through programs she created and led. What started in 2005 as a small initiative, Hello Can You Hear Me, grew into a program that served over 200 girls through partnerships with organizations like the YMCA and Boys & Girls Clubs.
She later expanded her vision and founded Girls Aiming Towards Positivity (GAPT), a mentoring program designed to help girls build confidence, leadership skills, and a positive mindset. Through hands-on activities like team building, public speaking, creative projects, and group discussions, GAPT creates a safe space where girls are heard, valued, and empowered. The program’s curriculum is shaped by parent input, participant feedback, and real-time observation to ensure it meets the needs of the girls it serves.
Shacole believes her purpose is to motivate and encourage young girls to believe in themselves and to always remain positive—no matter what they face.
Outside of her work, she enjoys traveling, mentoring, and collecting socks. Her favorite quote, “Never let anyone dull your sparkle,” reflects the message she pours into every girl she serves.
